This self-watering pot is specially designed to promote the germination and development of Alocasia corms.

When used with perlite, it helps maintain more stable humidity while providing excellent aeration around the corm. This creates an environment conducive to root development and the appearance of the first leaves.

Its transparent inner pot also allows you to monitor root development without disturbing the young plant, making it practical for both beginners and collectors.

• Specially designed for Alocasia corms

• Helps maintain more stable humidity

• Promotes good air circulation around the roots

• Ideal for use with perlite or stratum

• Allows observation of root development

• Avoids unnecessary disturbance to the young plant

• Easy to use and maintain

• Suitable for beginners and collectors alike

Fill the inner pot with pre-moistened perlite/stratum.

Gently place the bulbil in the perlite, with the part that will produce roots facing downwards.

Add a small amount of water to the reservoir of the outer pot, without completely submerging the bulbil.

Regularly check the water level and keep the perlite slightly moist, but not waterlogged.

Place the pot in a bright spot, with bright indirect light, and in a warm environment.

Please note:

• The pot is sold empty

• The bulbil and perlite are sold separately

• Do not leave the bulbil directly in water

• Regularly check the humidity level to limit the risk of rot

Place the bulbil in a bright spot with strong, indirect light. Good light helps support root development and the emergence of the first leaves. Avoid intense direct sunlight, which could overheat or dry out the young plant.

Fill the pot with damp perlite, then gently place the bulbil on the surface or slightly embedded. Add water to the lower reservoir to maintain constant humidity, without completely submerging the bulbil.

The bulbil is sold in perlite, chosen for its excellent aeration, controlled humidity, and ease of root observation. We therefore recommend perlite or stratum to start.

When the young Alocasia is developed enough to be transplanted, we recommend our coco-perlite potting soil, which offers a light, airy, and well-draining substrate.
