The story behind Zarits

I invented, imagined, and created Zarits many times in my head before the company truly came to life.

It all began in the summer of my 19th year, during my journey on the Pacific Crest Trail, a more than 4,300 km trek on foot, from Mexico to Canada.

As I hiked countless kilometers, I had plenty of time to think, reflect, and dream about a project that would have meaning. I wanted to create a different kind of company, inspired by nature, that would encourage people to consume more consciously, reduce their ecological footprint, and give living things a true place in their daily lives.

That’s how the idea for Zarits quietly took root.

Initially, Zarits was born from a desire to offer a new way to treat oneself, while consuming fewer materials and choosing thoughtfully made products. A local business, in the Laurentians, driven by values of eco-responsibility, quality, and simplicity.

The first products were conceived with a more natural, gentle, and responsible approach: handmade care products, in small quantities, with the desire to offer superior quality products inspired by the plant world.

Over time, Zarits grew. Tropical plants became increasingly important in my world, eventually becoming an essential part of the company. Today, Zarits brings together two great passions: tropical plants and natural body care products handmade in Quebec.

In our Saint-Sauveur boutique, you will find common and rare plants, bath, body, and home care products, as well as carefully selected gift ideas. But beyond the products, Zarits is above all a lively, warm place inspired by nature.

Every plant, every creation, and every detail is designed with the same desire: to offer a gentle, authentic experience aligned with our values.
