The Vanilla planifolia Variegata Jaune is a rare and exceptional tropical climbing orchid, sought after for its magnificent cream-yellow and green variegated foliage. A true vanilla plant, it develops long, elegant vines that easily attach to a stake or support. Under good conditions, it can produce the famous vanilla flowers, followed by aromatic pods. Its luminous foliage and exotic appearance make it a must-have collector's item.

The plant is sold in a plastic pot.

Care tips:

Prefers bright, indirect light. Excellent light promotes vigorous growth and helps maintain beautiful yellow variegation. Avoid intense direct sunlight, which could scorch the lighter parts of the foliage.

Water when the top few inches of the substrate begin to dry out. Vanilla planifolia appreciates regular humidity, but a soggy substrate can lead to root rot. Good ambient humidity will also promote its growth.

Opt for a very light, airy, and perfectly draining substrate. For this climbing orchid, we recommend our coco-perlite potting mix, which offers excellent root aeration and good moisture management.
