Pilosocereus pachycladus is a spectacular columnar cactus, sought after for its upright stems in magnificent shades of blue-green to silvery blue. Its well-defined ribs are punctuated with light-colored areoles and spines that contrast beautifully with its bluish coloring. Over time, it can become an imposing and architectural cactus, perfect for adding a desert touch to any collection.

Care tips:

Loves very bright light and appreciates several hours of direct sun once it has been gradually acclimated to it. Excellent lighting promotes compact growth and helps enhance its magnificent bluish coloration.

Water thoroughly, then let the substrate dry out completelybefore watering again. Significantly reduce watering during the dormant period. Pilosocereus pachycladus tolerates a slight lack of water much better than an excess of moisture.

Prioritize a substrate that is very light, mineral-based, and highly draining, specially adapted for cacti and succulent plants. Excellent drainage is essential to limit the risk of root rot.
