Mammillaria spinosissima is a particularly decorative cylindrical cactus, recognizable by its multitude of fine, dense spines that almost entirely cover its surface. Over time, it can form attractive clusters of upright stems. At maturity and under the right conditions, it produces small flowers arranged in a crown around the top, creating a superb contrast with its spines.
The plant is sold in a plastic pot.
