Loves bright to medium indirect light, or semi-shaded light. Good light helps to maintain golden variegation and support vigorous growth. Avoid direct sunlight, which could damage or burn the leaves

Water generously, then allow the substrate to dry almost completely between waterings. Alocasia Yucatan Aurea appreciates good ambient humidity; ideally, place a saucer with clay pebbles and a little water under its pot, without the roots soaking directly in the water.

Opt for a light, airy, and well-draining substrate. For Alocasias, we recommend our Coco-perlite potting mix, which helps maintain a good balance between drainage, lightness, and controlled humidity, while preventing the roots from sitting in overly compact soil.
